Louis Donald Erhardt, 81, of Mountain View died Sunday, Sept. 2, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Danbury, Conn., he was a plumber at Pearl Harbor and a member of New Hope Christian Fellowship in Volcano. Private services. Survived by daughters, Tami Carlos of Ewa Beach, Cheryl Erhardt of Ewa Beach, and Michelle (Pono) Chang of Kaneohe; brother, Arthur Erhardt of Rhode Island; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Masami “Masa” Nagakawa, 82, of Honolulu died Aug. 21 at Straub Clinic & Hospital. Born in Waimea, he was a retired salesman for Sears. Visitation 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary, service 10 a.m Private inurnment. Casual attire. No flowers. Survived by wife, Florence “Flo” Nagakawa of Honolulu; daughters, Phyllis Miyashiro of California, and Coleen Tanaka of Honolulu; three grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Tillery, and Peggy Lilly, both of California; and brother, Hallet Yamane of Aiea, Oahu.

Beatrice C. Pakele, 95, of Hilo died at Life Care Center of Hilo on Friday, Sept. 14. Born in Honolulu, she was a homemaker. Friends may call at the Dodo Mortuary chapel on Saturday from 9-11 a.m., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., followed by cremation. Casual attire, no flowers. Survived by sons, Edward (Linda) Chow of Honolulu, and Harold (Marilyn) Pakele of Hilo; daughters, Charlene (Abraham) Bonoan of Honolulu, Johnnette (Eric) Higuchi of Hilo, and Janice (Harold) Leite of Papaikou; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Willie Mae Philp, 89, of Pahoa died Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Caldwell, Texas, she was a county sheriff for Burleson County, Texas, and a deputy sheriff in Austin, Texas. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Texas Sheriffs Association. Services to be held at a later date in Texas. Survived by sons, Walter (Ella) Roskey of Houston, Texas, and Bill (Mary) Roskey of Caldwell, Texas; daughter, Lareida (Byron) Buckley of Pahoa; brother, Andrew Smith of Giddings, Texas; five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
